Last night for his belated birthday gift, I
took Tyler and seven other teenagers to the DCI tour stop in Denton,
where we watched and listened to some of the most talented drum and
bugle corps (corpss?! LOL) you'll ever find. For four hours
we clapped, we gasped, we cheered and we grinned from ear to ear--did I
mention that most of the teens are self-proclaimed "band nerds"?? But
the highlight of my night, the absolute cherry on top, was seeing my boy
so excited to meet a couple of snares from the Cavaliers. And they were
just as thrilled to meet him! I love these kinds of memories!
