1st Place in the State!!

My focused, driven, unbelievably-motivated-to-succeed daughter won FIRST PLACE in the spelling competition at the TAPPS State Academic Meet!!!  Below is the nice little write-up about my girl that appeared in the Panther Press the following week: 

"Exceptional kudos go to sophomore Darcy Todd, who took FIRST PLACE in the TAPPS Spelling competition with a perfect score of 60/60 on the oral portion of the test. Spelling, capitalization and punctuation (hyphens and accent marks) were all considered as Darcy correctly wrote the called-out words, words like: orilflamme, psittacosis, omphalos, akaryocyte, Apennines and Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. WOW!"
